Boothman Park

Boothman Park Fisheries Lancashire & YorkshireBoothman Park is an incredible creation that has to be seen to be believed.

Owner Frank Wren bought the land from the water board several years ago and has endeavoured with his labour of love to produce an area of outstanding beauty that offers so much to locals and visitors alike.

Frank has turned this unwanted part of the Forest of Bowland (famed for being near to Pendle Hill and in the locale of the famous Pendle Witches) into an activity area that caters for fishermen, campers, off road bikers, and people wanting to get away from it all in some beautiful and awe inspiring log cabins that are reminiscent of the Rocky Mountains, but built using sustainable timber from the grounds of Boothman Park itself.

Coarse fishermen can choose to come and fish at day or night, and there are fishing cabins available too, in the same log cabin design as the accomodation, and the magic really begins at nightfall when often a family of deer come into the park to sleep near to the cabins, giving you a connection with nature that has long since been lost.

Frank should really be congratulated on what he has achieved, and this is why Boothman Park is nominated for the Environmental Business of the Year by Pendle Borough Council.
